👵🧶🧵 2019 IDS: Power of Design. Preview 🏠

On January 17, 2019, Interior Design Show, Canada’s premier showcase of new and concept products, furniture, celebrity designers, started in Toronto. This year IDS Toronto celebrates the “Power of Design” and is expanding and evolving its current offering to include IDS Contract, a hyper-curated B2B trade-only exposition and conference focused on all vertical of design.

This year show the show moves from the north to south building of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, and will last till January 20, 2019.

IDS19 featured exhibits:
- Backcountry Hut Company launch of their Great Lakes Cabin in partnership with Leckie Studio Architecture+Design.
- Design-driven Swiss watchmaker RADO host an installation at IDS Toronto and run its famous RADO Star Prize competition in Canada for the first time.

Guests of Honour of the IDS19 are Lyndon Neri and Rossana Hu, the founding partners of Neri&Hu Design and Research Office, and creators of Design Republic, an award-winning retail concept store in Shanghai that offers a unique collection of products produced by the world’s best design talents.

IDS19 keynote speaker is luxury retail designer Ryan Korban, who develops a unique design aesthetic characterized by a mix of luxury, old world romance and urban school. Korban’s portfolio includes the homes of prominent figures in the worlds of fashion, film and music.
In addition to Neri&Hu and Ryan Korban, joining this year’s speaker line up at IDS19 are Toronto’s DesignAgency and Marina Tabassum from Bangladesh.
