Each year Canada Blooms invites designers to show the possibilities of entrance spaces. This year was not exception. Designers demonstrated their creativity for small spaces like doorsteps and backsteps. The main theme of this year featured gardens was Canadiana. Exhibitors used traditional Canadian materials (flowers and trees) as well as national symbols.

Do Up the Doorsteps: Scandinavian Canadian (Melanie Rekola Landscape Design) — Cultural diversity and inclusiveness are distinctive qualities that make Canada shine!
Do Up the Doorsteps: Winter Interest — An Important Season (Down2Earth) — We are lucky to live in a country with 4 seasons. In most parts of our beautiful country, Winter is the longest season but often over looked.

Do Up the Backsteps: Old Fashioned Fun (Garden Retreats) — Back to basics with Canadian flair.

Do Up the Backsteps: My Tiny Backyard Getaway (Green Art Landscape Design) — This cozy backyard is designed with relaxation in mind. Unwind in a hammock under the shady canopy of vines.
Do Up the Backsteps: Muskoka at Home (Jackson Pond) — Inspiration for us has always come from the natural beauty of Canada’s streams and waterfalls. By recreating what Mother Nature has perfected, we’re able to create a truly Canadian paradise in our clients’ backyard.
